above however it is in
a much rarer cabinet design. In 1939 the 9s367 was
$99.95 and the 9s369 was $129.95
So for 30 bucks more... most people purchased the
9s367 style cabinet.

IT THIS ONE IS SOLD
This one is from 1940 model year.. it is an Eleven tube radio with
AM and two Shortwave bands .... also features tuning eye and tone
organ
pushbuttons and pre-set stations buttons...
This radio also has the Built In Wavemagnet Antenna. Internal
antennas were the new big thing in 1940. All radios prior to 1940
require an added wire antenna for reception. Most will play fine
on
a wire that is around the inside rear of the cabinets. For better

RCA model 9K from 1936
This radio has 5 bands on it.. AM + Long Wave + 3 Shortwave bands
and tunes up to 60 Mhz is the advertising... not a lot on Long Wave
other than some airport beacons sending morse code ID's but lots
on the shortwave bands to listen to all around the world. It is
a super
sounding 9 tube radio with green tuning eye...

Philco model 40-180 SORRY
IT THIS ONE IS SOLD
This is a 1940 Philco Console... notice the slant to the dial area.
Beginning
in 1938 and 1939 Philco introduced the "No Stoop No Squint" type
of cabinet designs. One of
the advertising pictures shows a lady bending over to see the dial
on another brand of
radio with obvious back pains from the bending. Radio has AM and
two shortwave bands.
Includes pre-set AM station pushbuttons and is one super looking
console radio.

General Electric model E-86
This is a 1936 Radio. It has AM and two shortwave bands. Plays very
well
GE Tended to have very plain looking cabinets and this one is
no exception. Nice and simple and plain looking radio.
